Engineer (m/f/d) PIT Team– Process Improvement & Technologies
We are looking for you to join our team (m/f/d) in the PIT (process improvement & technologies- joint technologies) department at our Erfurt location.
As an engineer (m/f/d), you will be a Technology Owner and be responsible for the technology used in the manufacture of semiconductor devices.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborating on the development of new technologies:
- Designing and conducting technology maturity assessments, tracking follow-up actions
- Planning and monitoring the ramp-up phase of new technologies using risk management (including FMEA)
- Supporting the implementation of checklist items in accordance with GP4-1
- Establishing new technologies and NPF
- Upon/after production approval of technologies:
- Technology Owner after Process Freeze
- Responsible for technological problem-solving during the ramp-up phase and series production: risk assessment, planning and implementation of measures, PSM
- Continuous improvement and cost reduction
- Ensuring process capability of the technology:
- Cpk reporting and improvement
- Yield reporting and improvement, including line yield
- Technological customer contact and support in complaint cases
- Making delivery decisions
- Use of databases and relevant software systems:
- Proficient use of all IT systems, databases, and software applications required for the role to support and optimize work processes.
- Cross-departmental collaboration and coordination, particularly with PE, PIC, Quality, and BU.
- Key user role for assigned areas of expertise
- Management of on-site projects (cross-departmental)
- Compliance with the internal quality assurance system and documentation standards, as well as preparation for and active participation in audits
Your profile:
- A degree in electrical engineering, microelectronics, physics, chemistry, or a related field, plus specialized knowledge
- You have several years of professional experience in the technology sector and possess in-depth knowledge of semiconductor technology
- You approach complex tasks in a structured and independent manner and demonstrate strong project management skills
- A strong customer focus and a responsible work ethic are required
- You have good German and English language skills to confidently handle technical discussions both internally and externally
- Solid knowledge of working with databases and relevant IT systems
- Strong knowledge with FMEA, Ishikawa, 5Why
- Strong teamwork and communication skills round out your profile
